From relocating to Chicago to work with Amnesty International in 1995, to opening her own practice in 2008, Demitrus has represented domestic and intentional clients large and small for over 20 years with expertise in business and criminal law. Her approach to the legal system is fresh and innovative, and her integrity is tireless. She founded The Evans Exoneration Project in 2011.
She, representing TEIL Firms, LLC, has become an example of honest and winning ethical principles in the legal field and in her personal life to many who have had the opportunity to meet her.
In 1992 she received her Juris Doctorate from the University of Miami Florida School of Law and her LLM in International Business & Trade from The John Marshall Law School here in Chicago. She has also attended Denison University and The University of Nairobi.
